Blended learning is a combination of eLearning (online portion), in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session. Covers the knowledge and skills for Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers, initial and renewal certification. Prepares a wide variety of healthcare professionals to recognize sudden cardiac arrest, respiratory emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED and relieve choking in both children and adults. Successful completion of this course provides certification and an AHA BLS Provider Card. Online class portion needs to be done before the day of class. You will receive an email from CGCC AHA Training center with a link to the online class portion. *The American Heart Association (AHA) strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS), and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA, and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the Association.

The Heartsaver First Aid Course educates rescuers on recognizing and treating adult emergencies until medical personnel arrive. It offers comprehensive training in first aid, adult/infant CPR, and AED. This course fulfills the State of Oregon Child Care licensing requirement. The online segment must be completed before the in-person session. An email from CGCC AHA Training center will contain the link for the online component.
