Phlebotomy

Provides the knowledge and skills needed for safe and accurate performance of practical phlebotomy, including collection of blood specimens and venipuncture required to become a phlebotomy technician. Covers lab tests, equipment, safety and collection procedures, emergency situations, special populations, and point-of-care testing. Gives hands-on training in phlebotomy procedures, outlined with step-by-step instructions that cover core competencies. Offers clinical scenarios, practice tips, and error prevention, further emphasizing application and practice. With successful completion of NHO 9430 Phlebotomy, and following 100 hours of on-the-job training, students may qualify to take the National Certifying Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science Phlebotomy Examination in pursuit of national certification.

Develop or improve your pottery skills by taking this class. Classes are open to all proficiency levels from beginner to advanced with instruction to match your needs. It is a chance to spread your wings and create in clay with instruction in both wheel throwing and hand building with cone 6 clay and glazes. The first bag of clay is included in your tuition. No discounts or waivers.

3D Design Using Blender

3D Printing

Good news! The future is here. 3D printing technology is incredible and you can learn how to harness it to bring your creative ideas to life! In this class you'll be learning about several different types of 3D printers, their strengths and weaknesses, and which kinds of projects each technique is best suited for. You'll practice on the variety of 3D printers at CGCC, and by the end, you'll walk away with a unique print of your very own design. If you want to learn 3D modeling and use those skills in 3D printing, consider taking Fusion 360 or 3D Design Using Blender alongside this class.

NRA Home Firearm Safety Class
