This class is designed to help first-time homebuyers learn the basics about the home buying process. Learn the lingo and leave better prepared to successfully complete the home buying process. Course covers: housing decisions, financial preparation, shopping for a home, avoiding fraud in lending, mortgages, closing, and maintaining your investment. Lunch is provided and scholarships are available. For information about available scholarships, contact Columbia Cascade Housing Corp. at (541) 296-3397. Tuition covers up to two participants. Please provide registration information for both. No discounts or waivers.

El Curso de Primero Auxilios de Heartsaver enseña a rescatistas a reconocer y tratar eficazmente las emergencias de adultos en los primeros minutos críticos hasta que llegue el personal del servicio médico de emergencia. El curso también provee un entrenamiento completo de salud y seguridad de soluciones de Primeros Auxilios, Cardiopulmonar y Resucitación de adultos e infantes,y un Desfibrilador Automático Externo (conocido por sus siglas en inglés, AED). El curso cumple con el requisito de licencia para el cuidado infantil del Estado de Oregon. La Asociación de American Heart (AHA, por sus siglas en inglés) requiere que todos los estudiantes tengan un copia del libro de texto para prepararse para el curso y para tenerlo disponible para uso personal. El libro se le proveerá en clase.

NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting

The course Introduces the student to the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a rifle safely. Students will learn about basic rifle handling, ammunition, gun safety, and rifle shooting skills. For hunting, shooting for fun or shooting sports.There is a $30, lab fee to be paid at start of class. Class is held at the Mid Columbia Senior Center 1112 W. 9th St. the Dalles, OR.

SEIU-First Steps in Inclusion: Understanding Sensory and Behavioral Responses
