Columbia Gorge Community College

This is a traditional Spanish as a second language course, in which students will learn the Spanish pronunciation of the five vowel sounds, explore words that are similar in English and Spanish (cognates), and become familiar with common Spanish names. Additionally, they will use the language to get to know people, discuss family members, make words plural, and practice classroom expressions, indefinite articles, and action verbs. The required textbook for this course is *Spanish is Fun: Lively Lessons for Beginners, Fourth Edition*, which is available for purchase on Amazon.
