Covers lab tests, equipment, safety and collection procedures, emergency situations, special populations, and point-of-care testing. Gives hands-on training in phlebotomy procedures, outlined with step-by-step instructions that cover core competencies. Offers clinical scenarios, practice tips, and error prevention, further emphasizing application and practice.
With successful completion of NHO 9430 Phlebotomy, and following 100 hours of on-the-job training, students may qualify to take the National Certifying Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science Phlebotomy Examination in pursuit of national certification.
