Columbia Gorge Community College

Co-requisite: Phlebotomy Lab. This course in conjunction with the Phlebotomy Skills Course Lab, along with meeting the requirements of the certification agency that the student chooses to use, will qualify the student to pursue certification. Upon successful completion of this class, the student will understand the concepts related to phlebotomy and the laboratory, including non-analytical factors affecting test results, knowledge about basic anatomical systems related to venipuncture and micro collection, and many of the special tests that phlebotomists are required to perform.
