Attention kids: Do you have a pesky brother or sister who always gets into your things? Build your own intruder alarm! This is an electronic sensor that you place near your belongings and it detects the presence of the intruder and sounds an alarm to frighten them away. In the process you will learn electronics technology and skills you can use anywhere in the world. This can be as simple or sophisticated as you want to be progressing all the way to digital logic, microprocessors and even AI (artificial intelligence)”. Adults are also encouraged to attend to obtain a very useful skillset. Classes are for students age 10 and older. No discounts or waivers for this course.Component kits to make the intruder alarm are available for purchase through the instructor for $50, but are not required to take the course. Purchase of one does allow you to build and keep your very own alarm. Those not wishing to purchase the alarm kit will still leave with the knowledge of how to build one.
