Completion of this course will grant initial certification as a BLS Instructor through the American Heart Association (AHA). Fee includes CGCC TC affiliation fee. This course is completed in classroom sessions with other instructor candidates to become familiar with the AHA course options, materials, equipment, outlines, and teaching methodology. You will also go over current science and changes, paperwork, demonstrate your ability to perform CPR and use the AED correctly and effectively. Each instructor will be monitored in the second half of the class teaching part of an actual CPR class. The American Heart Association BLS Instructor is authorized to teach both the Heartsaver community level provider classes and the BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR courses. It is preferred that you have a current AHA BLS Provider card before the class. You will receive further instructions once registered via email or registration receipt. Please be aware there are other cost outside the fees for this class.
